STEVE ANDREWS

SteveSteve has risen to the challenges of growing up in apartheid South Africa with a grace and maturity far beyond his years and experience. A graduate of the Chrysalis Academy, Steve's voluntary enrolment in this hard-knock military style college for aspirant youth exposed him to the opportunities in the South African tourism boom, leading him to ultimately qualify as a tourist guide. A gifted story-teller, Steve compounded his new found knowledge regaling guests with tales of his youth, offering rare first hand insight into a different side of South African culture. Steve's greatest strength is his selfless dedication to service - with his constant smile, engaging personality and 'nothing is a problem' attitude, guests experiencing Steve's personal touch leave a trip not having met a guide, but having made a new friend.

Naturally gravitating towards more active forms of tourism, Steve has been extensively involved in walking and bicycle holidays. A passion for his car has developed a flair for mechanics - Steve's ability to maintain a bicycle in top working order has made him an essential component in a bike trip and kept him busy as both guide and mechanic in South Africa, Namibia, India, France and Vietnam.
