As freelance guides, we individually represent a number of tour operators and independent travellers in various capacities. As a company, Active Africa builds its business on the strength of relationships forged with selected tour operators and we are proud to have partnered these respected companies on a number of exciting projects:
Butterfield and Robinson
Operating out of Toronto, Canada, Butterfield & Robinson-the world's premier luxury active travel company-designs incredible journeys to the world's most amazing places. Our contribution: We have been providing guiding, itinerary management and product design services to Butterfield & Robinson for the past 5 years. Chris Goodwin currently represents the company as the Regional Director for South Africa, guiding and facilitating their scheduled Biking itineraries.

Our contribution: As Progamme Directors, we have been providing guiding and tour leading services to Grand Circle Travel on their epic Cape to Cairo programme for the past 8 years.
Tours and Trails
Based out of Cape Town, South Africa: 'Tours and Trails specializes in tailor-made tours of Cape Town and the Western Cape, focusing primarily on the unique fauna, flora, culture and historical aspects of the region. Travelling in small, exclusive groups for flexibility of itinerary and to minimise the impact on often fragile environments, the company is well known for special interest excursions such as Birding, Botany, Culture, Archaeology and Wine appreciation, all led by specialists guides and often incorporating walks, hikes and cycling into the excursion.'
Our contribution: We have been supplementing a quality guide pool with guiding services in the Cape area for the past 7 years.

Our contribution: Active Africa has supplied guiding services in support of cycling and hiking programmes for USA based REI Adventure Travel, operated in South Africa by Giltedge Travel, for the past 3 years.
